Spring Select (Area 1D)
Overview - Teams may be formed in U7/8-U19 for participation in the AYSO Area 1D tournament. This tournament usually involves highly skilled teams from other regions and it is recommended that players be of a higher skill level.
Coach Eligibility - Coaches may apply to take a Spring team and consideration will be given to those coaches in good standing. If more coaches apply than we have the appropriate # of kids for, coaches may “co-coach” or the AYSO board will select the coaches based on Sportsmanship points and coach evaluations from the previous Fall.
Player Selection - If you are interested in being considered for Spring Select Soccer, please send an email by
January 19th to
springselect34@yahoo.com and we’ll add your name to the list of kids who wish to play (*please note that depending on the # of coaches we get and the # of kids, placement is not guaranteed). Teams will be selected (and balanced) at a draft in late January with practices starting in February. Players not selected will be notified by February 1st.
Fees & Refs - Teams must pay the entry fee and uniform costs on their own (check must be written to AYSO 34 who will then write check to AYSO Area 1D) and must also supply a ref team to assist in refereeing games.
The Season – Games start in early March and continue until late May.
